Major Sudhir Walia - Unveiling of Bust at School
Major Sudhir Walia, AC, SM* attained supreme sacrifice fighting terrorists in J&K on 29th August 1999. He volunteered to participate in Kargil war in 1999 and had played an instrumental role capturing Zulu Ridge. 15 August 2020, an occasion of Independence Day was chosen to unveil the bust of Major Sudhir Walia, an officer of 9 Para SF, the brave son of soil and a proud alumni of Sainik School Sujanpur Tira at school premises.
Occasion was graced with presence of martyr’s family as distinguished guests along with Executive body of Old Boys Association of the alma mater.
